“It’s fast… but why does it still feel off?”
Over the past two years, Hall Effect keyboards became incredibly fast.
8KHz polling. 16KHz scanning. Ultra-low latency.
The entire industry kept chasing speed.
But after talking to competitive players and long-term users, we realized something important:
The real problem isn’t speed anymore… It’s stability and predictability under real gameplay that matters.
Wait… what do you mean by “doesn’t feel right”?
Imagine this: you’re in a fast-paced game.
You press a key the same way you always do…
- Sometimes the trigger feels slightly different
- RT behaves inconsistently
- Repeated actions aren’t identical
You might not notice it consciously at first. But over time, it breaks your muscle memory.
It’s subtle… but it matters a lot to players who rely on precision.
So what did we do?
“How do we make EV63 slightly faster?”
“How do we make every keypress feel reliable, every time, under pressure?”
EV63 Ghost in the Shell edition - Cyber BlueWhat is HyperCore V3? ⚡

Hall Effect Latency BenchmarkSmart Switch Adaptation
- Manual profiles
- Recalibration
- Deadzone tweaks
HyperCore V3 changes that. One of its key upgrades is Smart Switch Adaptation, an exclusive, industry-first feature from IQUNIX that makes the keyboard “smart” by automatically recognizing 99% of mainstream Hall Effect switches (the remaining 1% are side-magnet switches and not supported).
With EV63’s flagship MCU and third-generation single-sided dual-track Hall sensors, HyperCore V3 provides the hardware headroom for our engineers to solve a problem no other magnetic switch keyboard manufacturer has: fully automatic switch adaptation.
How it works:- Plug-and-play: no manual calibration required for normal use
- Automatic learning: if no calibration is performed, the keyboard learns each switch after ~20–30 key presses
- Manual calibration: instantly records the switch’s characteristics in a single step
- Maintains stable triggers and consistent RT for every switch
Switch changes now feel effortless — smooth, reliable, and predictable, whether using automatic learning or manual calibration.
💡The goal is simple: make hot-swapping and replacing switches as seamless in software as it is in hardware, so users never have to worry whether a new switch will work correctly with their keyboard.

HyperCore V3: Full Experience Upgrade
The Beginning
Back in April 2025, IQUNIX introduced EZ80 with third-generation Hall sensors and a new high-performance MCU.
This self-developed magnetic switch solution laid the foundation for EV63.
July 22, 2025: EV63 launched. The keyboard already had excellent soft/hardware performance, but players’ feedback showed speed alone wasn’t enough.
The Story Behind the Firmware
From July 2025 to May 2026:
- 4 rounds of full product development with EDG pro players to map real competitive needs to firmware
- 22 official firmware updates (≈2.5/month)
- 20 official driver updates (≈2/month)
- 500+ user feedback discussions
- Optimized DKS, SOCD, RS, MT, TGL, and other features for both stability and responsiveness
- Full driver usability and UI optimization
HyperCore V3 is the result of nearly a year of refinement, not just a quick patch. Because fast is easy, achieving stable and consistent performance is hard.
Developer Fun Fact 😅
Smart Switch Adaptation wasn’t easy.
The engineers may have sacrificed a few hairs to get it right.
But the result? EV63 now adapts to nearly all switches, maintaining accurate, stable performance without any hassle.

Frequently Asked Questions
1.Why did it take so long?
Honestly?
Because firmware updates are terrifying when you have a large user base 😅
EV63, EZ80, EZ75 and related products now reach a very large number of users.
And firmware updates don’t just affect performance numbers.
- trigger feel
- RT behavior
- stability
- switch compatibility
- gameplay consistency
- testing internally
- refining edge cases
- talking with EDG players
- collecting community feedback
- rebuilding core firmware systems
2. Why can a single-MCU keyboard outperform multi-MCU designs?
- Architecture
- Scanning strategy
- Communication path
- Tuning precision
If the architecture isn’t solid, adding more MCUs can create additional communication and tuning complexity.
That’s why EV63 isn’t built around more chips.
It’s built around IQUNIX’s in-house team deeply optimizing the entire stack — from the bottom up.
We focus on maximizing the performance of the MCU and Hall sensors to build a stronger, more stable system.
The result?
A single MCU that outperforms many multi-MCU solutions — in both latency and stability.

3. Why bother shaving off another 0.0x ms of latency if most people can’t even feel it?
Because we can — and because it reflects the strength of our in-house engineering.
After talking with pro players from EDG, Wolves, VCTCN, and competitive players around the world, one thing became very clear: players don’t choose a keyboard simply because it’s “fast.” What really matters is whether the speed feels right — stable, predictable, and reliable during real gameplay.
4. Is Smart Switch Adaptation just a deadzone trick?
- magnetic curves
- magnetic strength
- structures
- trigger characteristics
- manual profiles
- recalibration
- larger deadzones
- manual tuning
- compatibility guessing
- repeated recalibration
5. Why weren’t RGB updates the main focus?
Simple answer:
- consistency
- latency stability
- RT behavior
- switch compatibility
- long-term reliability
- lighting smoothness
- brightness curves
- interaction feedback
- FN indicators
- overall visual polish
6. How do I upgrade to HyperCore V3?
-
Connect your EV63 keyboard to your computer and open the driver website:
https://ev.iqunix.com (Shortcut:Fn+M)
- Once your keyboard is recognized, a pop-up will show the latest update log.
- Click “Upgrade Now” to start the update.
