I was trying to find problems with this keyboard and I was having a really hard time.
The unboxing experience feels ridiculously premium considering this board starts at $119, this is giving me all the works for a decent price. It's got a solid aluminum case, a nice design. Fun to type on like it feels bouncy, this will definitely be finding its way into my backpack when I'm traveling. I was trying to find problems with this keyboard and I was having a really hard time.

Best build quality by far.
Out of all the keyboard, this one has the best build quality by far, it feels great to type on. Overall, it already sounds pretty good and if you prioritize a high quality build it's really nice. It's got a better typing experience better build quality more connectivity options, VIA compatibility, which is why this keyboard made the list. I also like the extra customization they added to the plate, it makes it feel premium and custom.

CNC machined Marvel, an absolute pleasure.
You might have seen me featuring it before, I love this thing, because this CNC machined Marvel is an absolute pleasure. It's super portable and the switches, which I have no idea what they are fantastic with every keystroke. what I love most is the tri-mode, it can connect in various ways. If that's not enough, the keyboard itself can last up to 300 hours, which is fantastic.
The Iquinix Magi 65 and Magi 65 PRO are the nicest 65% mechanical keyboards I’ve reviewed this year.
The IQUNIX Magi 65 and Magi 65 PRO are the nicest 65% mechanical keyboards I’ve reviewed. If you are a fan of great design and you appreciate good build quality, I think you’ll love the Magi 65 keyboards from IQUNIX. There’s nothing else you could ask from these stylish and well-made keyboards. Top marks to IQUNIX and I think we’ll be seeing lots more great keyboards from the brand.
It's clear that the IQUNIX offering serves as a surprisingly robust challenge to bigger name brands.
You also get a nice kit of added goodies, including a metal keycap and keyswitch puller that's the nicest I've ever used, a fancy coiled USB-C cable, several keycaps, an adapater and a one-page manual in excellent English that clearly explains key combos and other features. This is a handsome keyboard that feels incredible to type on. Comparing the Magi65 Pro to the (identically-priced) xxx, it's clear that the IQUNIX offering serves as a surprisingly robust challenge to bigger name brands. They're able to deliver a significantly better board in terms of design, with a slight edge in typing experience and features. The Magi65 Pro is easy to recommend, but you should also consider the smaller Magi65, which offers the same excellent typing experience. Either way, you're getting a well-made keyboard at a reasonable price.

Overall, I really like the Magi96 itself. I enjoy its typing feel, sound, design, and build quality, and these were the reasons I was excited to use it as my main keyboard.
However, my experience as a Mac user has been quite frustrating because of the wireless compatibility with macOS FileVault.
I purchased the Magi96 partly because it is advertised as a tri-mode keyboard with wired USB, 2.4GHz wireless, and Bluetooth connectivity. After using it with my iMac, I discovered that neither the 2.4GHz connection nor Bluetooth can be used to enter my FileVault password after a full shutdown and cold boot.
The keyboard works normally through both wireless modes after macOS has fully loaded, but at the FileVault pre-boot login screen:
* The 2.4GHz mode does not register any key input.
* Bluetooth does not reconnect, so I cannot type my password.
* Only wired USB mode works reliably.
I spent a considerable amount of time troubleshooting this. I tested different USB ports, the 2.4GHz receiver, Bluetooth, wired mode, multiple cold boots, and different connection configurations. IQUNIX Support was responsive and helpful throughout the troubleshooting process, and they eventually confirmed that this is a known compatibility issue between the 2.4GHz receiver and the macOS FileVault pre-boot environment.
They also confirmed that there is currently no confirmed timeline for an improvement and recommended using wired USB mode when entering the FileVault password after a cold boot.
This is the part that disappoints me most: if this is already a known compatibility limitation, I believe it should be clearly disclosed on the product page before purchase.
For a Mac user with FileVault enabled, this significantly changes the practical meaning of a “tri-mode” keyboard. In my case, I either have to connect the USB cable whenever I cold boot the computer, keep another keyboard available just for logging in, or simply use the Magi96 permanently in wired mode.
Had I known about this limitation before purchasing the keyboard, it would have affected my purchasing decision.
There is another concern I am still observing: on several occasions during startup, the RGB lighting on the lower three rows of the keyboard flashed rapidly and abnormally. It has been intermittent and I have not yet been able to capture it on video, so I cannot confirm whether this is a separate firmware or hardware issue.
I appreciate that IQUNIX Support responded quickly and took the time to address my questions. I also genuinely enjoy the Magi96 when it is working normally. That is why this situation is especially disappointing: the keyboard itself is enjoyable to use, but an important compatibility limitation makes the overall experience much less seamless than I expected.
I hope IQUNIX can improve FileVault pre-boot compatibility in a future update. More importantly, until that happens, I strongly recommend clearly stating this known limitation on the product page so Mac users can make an informed decision before purchasing.
This keyboard has great build quality for the price point, the body is aluminum and so are some of the keys. It sounds super thocky and creamy, and the typing experience overall is great. The one problem i have with it is no matter how hard i try, i cant get it connected to via. Which in turn means I cant reprogram the media keys that were an extra 20 bucks. With that said I still do highly recommend theis keyboard.
It took a little bit of setup and I swapped out the keycaps for shine through ones, but it was absolutely worth it. Love this keyboard and would definitely buy one again <3
The sound is the best, it's what I was looking for. The keyboard feels very premium, heavy and stable, compared to the selling price. But there are some things I didn't like:
- When the keyboard arrived, the keycaps were not securely attached. some keys were slightly higher than others. I think because the assembly was done quickly.
- Accessing the software and changing keyboard settings was a little too difficult and not that easy to use.
- I think the right arrow button does not work correctly because it does not follow the colors of the keyboard background but the color of the small bar at the top right.
- I don't like the way you can check the battery charge of the keyboard. Because you have to count how many times the capslock led flashes. It's very annoying. The classic 3 colors would be much better (red, yellow, green)
Despite these problems I am overall satisfied with the purchase of these keyboards
Love it. Bought it to use at work over the standard provided keyboard. It was tough going from using the basic keyboard at work to having a custom mechanical keyboard at home. This perfectly fixed my problem as I love the low profile of it and it sounds amasing. Maybe have to upgrade my home keyboard soon as i think im beginning to like typing more at the office than at home....
The Magi 96 by IQUNIX delivers one of the most satisfying typing sounds I’ve ever experienced.
It has that rare creamy, thocky profile that feels both deep and controlled — a soft, rounded sound with just the right amount of presence. Every keystroke lands with a subtle, cushioned “thock” that’s incredibly pleasing without being loud or distracting. It’s quiet enough for daily use, yet expressive enough to make typing genuinely enjoyable.
What stands out is the consistency: no hollow tones, no unwanted ping, just a smooth, refined acoustic signature across the entire board. It feels tuned rather than assembled.
Beyond the sound, the overall build reinforces that impression — solid, precise, and carefully balanced. But it’s really the acoustic experience that elevates this keyboard. It turns something as simple as typing into a tactile and auditory pleasure.
A beautifully executed, creamy-thocky dream.
Overall I'm satisfied, but I still prefer a 2U size for the numpad '0' key, even if it means adding an extra column.
Also, I can't find a solid color mode, so the lighting options are a bit lacking.
Fantastische Tastatur.
I love the new keyboard. At first, I thought the low-profile design might feel strange, but the more I use it, the more I enjoy typing on it. It has a smooth, creamy sound, and the overall build feels premium. I would definitely buy it again.
I thought I lost hope on unique keyboards brands but I randomly fell upon IQUNIX MQ80 and ordered it (then cancelled) to then realise they had this Magi75 checking all my requests, no crazy design choices, only a USB-C port - no other switches visible, good materials, perfect layout and a decent price, really content with this buy, will see how it goes on the long term ! PS : very good customer support as well
The Maxi75 Pro is a masterpiece. The acoustics are phenomenal and the typing feel is super smooth. You can really feel the premium craftsmanship here. Plus, the extra goodies in the box make the unboxing experience even better. Total bang for your buck if you want a luxury keyboard. Highly recommended!
I really like the design and the feel of the keyboard. It's super nice to use and makes my job as a software dev more fun. Only feedback is that some of the keys that are next to each other sound fairly different (even same sized key). It's only a minor thing.
An absolute joy to type on and the sound is just perfect. It also includes all the navigation keys.
The stock keycaps are amazing and have a comfortable low profile. However, I eventually replaced them with low profile shine-through keycaps because I like to work in a dimmed room. I kept the original spacebar because its lower profile is perfect, it doesn't block the adjacent keys or lead to accidental presses.
If there is a new version in the future, I would like to see the following:
- TKL Layout: As a developer, I am struggling a bit with the current layout and would prefer a standard TKL option.
- Shine-through Keycaps: It would be great if these were included by default while keeping the special low-profile shape.
- Height Adjustment: I would love to see feet for better ergonomics. Since the keyboard is quite heavy, screw-in feet would work well. Having holes on the other side for reverse tilt would be a bonus.
Overall, this is an amazing keyboard.

Feels and sounds great!
Need to get used to the NUM keys and arrow keys placement, but otherwise the most satisfying keyboard I've ever owned!
Some of the key caps weren't pressed down the whole way when I opened it though.
Quality: impeccable
Typing experience: exactly as on yt. videos
Customer support: very helpfull and informative
Delivery: slightly longer than expected due to customs, but arrived in Poland no problem.
It's a good keyboard, slim, very heavy, creamy.
Taking one star off for three issues:
1. The PCB cover has a soft rubber-ish finish, it's very easy to scratch with fingernails/cap puller and stain with switch lube. The marks don't go away.
2. The spacebar has a noticeable high pitch ping, I fixed it by lubing both stabilizers.
3. The spacebar keycap is scratched in the middle and on the right side, not too noticeable.
Really nice keyboard.
Feels very premium both in typing feel and construction and the wireless modes works perfectly.
Only wished there also was a hall effect version
I have searched keyboards high and low, and am very picky about typing experience and sound. I am not at all a gamer and the focus for me is really on smooth typing, as well as having a keyboard that looks professional. I love that this keyboard looks professional, but still has flourishes of personality and character.
But the typing? That is truly something else. My fingers dance over the keys and typing feels like fingers dancing on pillows. It is soft but not mushy, just enough give, and it sounds great. Everything just matches. This is truly functional art to me. I am ruined for all other keyboards.
I also love the carrying case it came in. My experience with customer support was excellent as well. The switch underneath the numeric enter key had a bent pin, and I couldn't get it straight. I contacted support with images and they instantly sent replacement switches all the way from China to Europe.
I promptly ordered the Magi65 Pro and the Magi75 for home use, keeping the Magi96 at the office. I am never getting different keyboards. The long search ended here. Worth every penny.
IQUNIX Magi96 Review – Built Like a Tank, and It Shows
Went into this expecting to mod it. I usually do. But after a few failed attempts—starting with a keycap swap that went horribly—I left it stock. The swap dropped me into the mid-90s WPM range, and I had to push to stay there. Switched back to stock, and I was cruising at 107 WPM without effort. That told me everything I needed to know. The typing feel, acoustics, and build were already dialed in. That’s rare.
I bring it with me every day. It’s heavy—no getting around that—but the carrying case is built like a tank. I never worry about it getting dinged or flexing in transit. That kind of peace of mind matters when you’re moving between setups.
Layout & Workflow Fit
96% is ideal for banking workflows. No wasted space, no missing keys. It’s efficient without being cramped. I don’t have to think about layout compromises—it just works.
Build Quality & Surface
IQUNIX doesn’t mess around. The chassis is dense, premium, and clean. PBT keycaps are oil-resistant and sharp. No shine, no grime. It holds up under pressure and still looks good.
Typing Feel
Linear switches, stock foam, tuned stabilizers—it’s all solid. Light to type on, but stable enough that I can go hard if I want to. Do I really need to? Not often. The sound profile keeps me focused all day—clean, consistent, and never distracting. It’s the kind of board that rewards rhythm over force.
Ergonomics
Full profile means more wrist lift, and even with a rest, it’s not ideal for marathon sessions. That said, I’ve ruled out boards like the Flow100 and Air96 V2 despite their low-profile appeal—IQUNIX’s build quality is simply in another league. I’d rather adapt ergonomics than compromise on structural integrity.
Aesthetics & Presence
Minimalist, serious, and workspace-ready. No gamer fluff. RGB is there if you want it—easy to turn off if you don’t. You do you. The finish and lines are clean, and it fits a professional setup without drawing attention.
Verdict
None of my other mechanical boards come close in terms of feel, comfort, and build quality. It’s just polish across the board. I keep it stock, carry it daily, and trust it to perform. That says a lot.
I love the Magi96, the design and typing sound is just what I was looking for. I only have 1 criticism and that is the USB-C cable that came with the keyboard. The cable is a basic white cable and the Keyboard color is a cream/beige color with orange accents. I would have loved if the cable was matching to the keyboard.
